Mission Statement
The Ebony Pearls Foundation of San Diego Inc. (a 501 (c) 3 organization) is a non-profit foundation dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of the residents of the greater San Diego County. Through its volunteers, the foundation conducts fund raising activities to support scholarship and community service events and programs that enhance the health, welfare, economic and educational development of individuals and families. The foundation supports and promotes appreciation of the arts and culture that reflect the great diversity of the San Diego community.
These events are open to community sponsors and participants, and proceeds are applied to the organization’s community service efforts. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our website and our programs. We encourage and welcome support of our programs and events from community members and the business community.

Education Programs
Providing educational opportunities through activities such as giving scholarships, creating mentoring programs, and providing students with academic preparations and character- building activities.
Healthcare and Wellness Programs
Raising awareness of healthcare and wellness issues critical to African Americans, raising funds for local health campaigns, supporting healthy lifestyles and care for caregivers.
Arts Appreciation Programs
Supporting the arts in San Diego County and exposing students to arts enrichment and culture.
Environmental Influence Programs
Partnering with agencies and institutional programs that promote environmental awareness and betterment throughout San Diego, including clean water, recycling plastics, etc.
Ebony Pearls Youth Leadership Academy
Selected young women with high moral and spiritual values, who have demonstrated academic and community service are exposed to activities and actively participate in workshops that develop ethical standards, financial planning, promote unity and friendship, and enhance social skills, self-respect, and teamwork. Additionally, selected young men are provided similar activities.
Economic and Financial Literacy Programs
Developing and supporting programs that impact economic security, financial literacy and alleviate the impact of homelessness and advocate for issues that help improve the quality of life in our community.
